Dani Maresma Art | I'm looking myself in fear Painting by Dani Maresma
When we are afraid we hide behind situations, people, objects, ... These help us to feel safe. This simple reflection is what this painting represents. A desperate situation where the character hides behind a black object, which represents the cloud of emotions that has inside. We can see that within this cloud there are some insinuations of colours, which represent hope, the inner hope in overcoming the situation that is being presented to live. - - - In my portraits, my references sometimes are photos or my imagination. I don't like to make a perfect portrait of the character, I search to capture sensations or emotions that it transmits, which seem more volatile and unimportant, but which are more important for me.
